Cross-Cultural Management

Your company includes personnel from various origins, nationalities, or cultures? This training is aimed at presenting the influence of culture in every day’s life and in our business actions.

With the support of the matrixes and questionnaires created earlier (during a previous session or at the office before the training takes place) we will decipher each other culture stressing not only our differences but also the (numerous) areas of potential synergy.

It is the time of comparison, explanation and reconciliation of the culture’s dilemma. Using the cross-cultural dimensions as a light framework (see Trompenaars), the participants will better understand not only what are the differences (that, we know a great deal by ourselves!) but also how to understand them and consequently how to cope with them.
The topics presented are:
- How do we see the others and ourselves?
- Do we favour relationships or rules?
- The group vs. the Individual
- (In)-Equality in Society: the consequences
- Time: Units, Poly/Monochronic, Past/Present/future orientation
- How do we accord status?

We are using extensively the participants own experience to link culturally biased attitudes of everyone with situations that appear at best odd, at worst frankly offensive.

Participants usually come out of this training with many answers to their questions and are ready to go back to the office with a modified perception of their colleagues.
